On the eve of International women’s Day, NRI Institute of Technology organised an awareness programme on 07-03-2020 on “self & health” by Dr.P. Susila M, D.,(OBG), Gynecologist, Latha Super Speciality Hospital, Vijayawada. The program started with a welcome speech by Susmitha followed by lighting of the lamp by dignitaries & a prayer song. Prof. R. Sunitha, convener, Women protection & grievance cell addressed the students on gender equality & how youth must take the responsibility to achieve it. A few students spoke on women molestation, breaking of tradition, the success of women in diverse areas. Principal Dr C. Naga Bhaskar garu wished all students a happy women’s day & shared his thoughts & encouraged students to practice gender equality. Chairman Dr R. Venkata Rao garu spoke on various issues in society & how women should be ready to face them. The chief guest Dr Susila garu spoke on self(Do’s & Dont’s for both girls & boys) & regarding both physical & mental health. She created awareness among students by discussing various physical & mental challenges in health faced by youth.
