NRI-NSS unit organized a “FREE MEGA MEDICAL CAMP” at the college campus in association with Lions Club of Vijayawada Jubilee on 20-09-2019. The medical camp was organized with the support of college management.

The medical camp was inaugurated by Lion Dr. R.Venkat Rao. Lion Miriyala Venkateswara Rao (Past District Governor), Dr. D. Kailash Rao (Region Chair Person), Lion MD. M.Basha (Zonechairperson), NSS PO V.Mohan Manoj, Physical Director P.Gawtam have attended the camp. The camp started at 10 am. Dr.K.Achyutha Babu along with his team of doctors, Andhra Hospitals created awareness on health problems and their preventive measures. The camp includes ECG, Liver & kidneys functioning, Blood Pressure, Diabetic check-up, eye check-up, dietary counselling and physical consultation. Medicines are distributed freely for some of the health problems and advised for further investigations.

NSS volunteers helped in registration and medical cards, which were issued to the teaching and Non-teaching staff. There was an excellent response to the medical camp. More than 160 patients took benefit of free consultation. Medical camp ended at around 4:00 P.M. At the end, all went away very happy – both the patients and the team of doctors.
