Dr.N.V Surendra Babu who is doctorate from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, procured a massive experience of a decade and an half as a dynamic placement officer of Andhra Pradesh by Virtusa Corporation, Chennai. Started working right from the inception to promote the activities related to training and placements. A soft but eligent with work orientation. Bagged Wipro Excellence Award for organising campus recruitments. The students of all category are tuned to meet the industry requirements.
Focusing regularly on the rural student community along with semi urban as well as urban. Making the students to grab the opporutnites from time to time. Effecient in organising campus recruitments. Organised 1000+ campus drives. The students were placed for more than 5000+to serve the industry. A festue person with an open mind of totum, working in the interest of the students.
Dedicated and determined person as well known for trust, commitment with human values. Experience is always counted. Making the training and placement officers to come on to a track in order to serve the industry with atmost care and responsibility. Caters the need of the industry as well as academia, put him in the position of Joint Secretary for the last 3 years for AP TPO Consortium of Andhra Pradesh.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Students’ employment is facilitated through the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell invites companies, either individually or as a group by organizing on-campus job fairs. It also arranges for participation of students in off campus placement activities and at company nodal centers.
Our students have been placed in amongst the best companies of the country. Engineering and MCA graduates have been employed in companies like HCL, L&T Infotech, Mahindra Satyam, Syntel, Intergraph, Tech Mahindra, DELL, Exilant and Reliance Energy.
The institute Entrepreneurship cell provides exposure to students on how to start their own ventures and become entrepreneurs.
In addition to campus placements Placement and Entrepreneurship Cell organizes programs mock interviews, group discussions, debates, case studies, etc. It also organizes the programs like:

PLACEMENT CELL INFRASTRUCTURE
The Placement Cell of NRIIT is spread in 3,000 Sq. Ft. Area with 3 GD Rooms with Wi-Fi , 6 Interview Rooms with Wi-Fi , 300 Capacity Wi-Fi Seminar Hall and with world class Training and Placement Officer Chamber. The cell is well designed to host on-campus and off-campus interviews of leading multinational companies. To facilitate smooth operations, department wise faculty and student coordinators also render their assistance to Placement Cell.
Training and Placement Cell Overview
Nri Institute of Technology Training, Placement and Development Cell plays a critical role in networking graduating students with the industry. It prepares the students for the process of recruitment and simultaneously create awareness among companies about the recruitment opportunities at NRIIT. Potential recruiters are given structural support for scheduling interviews, hosting seminars, group discussions and written tests. At NRI IT, Vijayawada, we believe employability is more than a skill; it is an attitude, it is a practice. So, we instill this attitude through continuous training in learning skills, behavioral skills, life skills in addition to aptitude and communication skills.And this training starts in the first year of engineering itself. Specific Campus Recruitment Training programs are conducted in the third year, with an emphasis on problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills and team work.

VISION & MISSION OF TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL:
Placement training plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every engineering student to get placed in a top organization visiting their campus for recruitment. Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that training is important for engineering students to enhance their employability skills and achieve good placement in various Industries. At present, the competition for employment is increasing every day and placement has become a challenging task. Training of students and equipping them with life skills has become an important responsibility of the institution. Along with technical expertise, the development of a holistic personality is also necessary. To meet out these requirements, a fully-fledged training cell is operating in our college to enhance the capabilities of engineering graduates on par with the industry standards.
Objectives
► The Training & Placement Office of the Institute has the responsibility of facilitating the Campus Recruitment Programme for all disciplines.
► The Placement Office initiates and nurtures contacts with leading organizations for campus visits and is functional throughout the year.
► It endeavours to match the aspirations of the students with the needs of the Industry. It also assists the students for Summer/Winter Industrial training.
► The T&P Division also provides counseling and guidance to the students regarding the visiting organizations, selection procedure, preparation methods.
► A team of Student Placement Coordinators duly assist the T&P Office.
► The central computer facilities are adequate for an online test for about 300 students at a time.
► The Auditorium, Seminar halls and Interview cubicles, equipped with audio-visual aids provide the ideal venue for campus selection activities.
► The Placement Office ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangement and hospitality for officials of the visiting companies.
Training of Students
► A special corporate training program is conducted for final year students in resume building, group discussions, general knowledge, current affairs, etc.
► Mock interviews are conducted by inviting HR Heads and Technical Experts from well-known companies.
► To get real-world work culture exposure, short industrial tours to neighboring companies and extended visits to distant industries / organizations of national and international repute are conducted each year.
► Regular training classes are conducted, on campus, at the Digital English Language Lab to improve the communication skills of students. With a focus on Campus Recruitment, special training classes are conducted in association with professional training institutes and specialists in personality development, etiquette, grooming etc.
► On campus training for competitive exams like GRE, GATE, CAT, etc is also offered.
► In order to bridge the gap between the university curriculum and industry needs, the college offers various short-term training programs. These programs include CAD / CAM, J2JEE, VLSI & Embedded systems.
► Seminars and workshops are conducted on entrepreneurship development.
Placement Services
Internships and summer placements are ensured.
Towards the end of the final year, an Ad campaign is launched in leading newspapers and journals to attract prospective recruiters. Recruitment advertisements are also collected, after thoroughly checking eligibility conditions. For the convenience of students, recruitment application forms are supplied for free of cost

- Train the students on “Personality development”.
- Organize Various Training Programmes to train the students in the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal reasoning through the reputed external training organizations and in-house trainers.
- Train the students through Mock Interviews to perform well in the professional interviews as per the expectations of the corporate world.
- Train the students on group discussion techniques
- Conduct online tests and written aptitude tests.
